IntelliJitsu (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a martial arts training application for coaches and athletes. This policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use the IntelliJitsu mobile app and related beta services.

Information we collect
- Account information — email address, name, and password (stored using industry-standard hashing on our servers).
- Profile and training data — belt rank, training sessions, rolls, notes, techniques, goals, and related metadata you enter in the app.
- Roll video — video files you upload or link to training rolls, stored on our media infrastructure when you use that feature.
- Audio and speech — when you use dictation, the app may access the microphone and speech recognition on your device to convert spoken notes into text.
- Coach and team data — gym membership, team rosters, invitations, feedback you give or receive, and attendance where enabled.
- Payment-related information — if you use gym membership billing, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive subscription status and billing identifiers from Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- AI-generated content — insights and recommendations derived from your training data when you use AI features.
- Technical data — basic device and app usage needed to operate the service (for example, authentication tokens and API request logs).
How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the IntelliJitsu app
- Authenticate you and secure your account
- Enable coach–athlete team features, invitations, and notifications
- Store and play back roll media you choose to upload
- Generate AI-assisted insights and dictation features you request
- Process gym membership billing through Stripe when enabled
- Respond to support requests and beta feedback
- Comply with legal obligations
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- Within your gym — coaches and athletes see data appropriate to their role (for example, coaches see roster and athlete training relevant to team management).
- With service providers — hosting, email, media storage, payment (Stripe), and AI providers that process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
- For legal reasons — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
AI features
When you generate AI insights or use dictation, relevant training text (and audio for transcription features) may be sent to third-party AI providers to produce results. Cached insights are stored on our systems. Usage may be subject to monthly limits during beta.
Data retention
We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with law, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion by contacting us.
Beta program
During the private beta, the app may connect to staging infrastructure. Beta data may be reset or migrated as we develop the product. We will communicate material changes to beta participants when practical.
Your choices
- Update profile information in the app where available
- Decline microphone permission (dictation will not be available)
- Contact us to access, correct, or delete account data
Children
IntelliJitsu is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
International users
Your information may be processed in countries where we and our service providers operate. By using the app, you consent to such processing subject to applicable law.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
